Projects & Workspaces

How work is organized — a project holds one or more workspaces (canvases), with autosave and per-plan project limits.

Your work is organized into projects and workspaces.

  • A project is a container for one body of work — typically one building, site, or competition. It holds one or more workspaces.
  • A workspace is a single canvas — think of it like a browser tab — where you place layers and design. A project can hold many.

Start a new project for a separate piece of work; add a new workspace to explore a different angle or perspective within the same project.

Workspaces are sometimes called scenes — the Projects page may show a project’s workspace count as “N scenes”. They’re the same thing.

Creating & managing

  • New project — from the Projects page; give it a name.
  • New workspace — in the editor, use Add Workspace in the Workspaces panel (left sidebar). A fresh blank canvas appears.
  • Switch workspaces — pick one from the Workspaces panel, like switching browser tabs.
  • Rename — on the Projects page, hover a project card and click the pencil (Rename project) icon, then type the new name. Rename a workspace from the Workspaces panel.
  • Delete — delete a project (with a confirmation) from the Projects page, or a workspace from the Workspaces panel.

Saving

Everything saves automatically and continuously to the cloud as you work — there is no Save button. You can undo canvas actions with Ctrl+Z (⌘Z on Mac). There is no separate version history to roll back to an earlier saved state.

How many you can have

The number of projects you can create depends on your plan — the free Blueprint tier allows a small number, paid plans allow many more, and the top plans are unlimited. See Plans & Credits for the current figures (the in-app pricing screen is always authoritative). There is no fixed limit on the number of workspaces within a project.

Sharing a project

A project can be sent to someone as a link, or shared directly with members of your Studio. Recipients can get their own copy, view-only access, or edit access to your live project — and several people can be in the same project at once. See Share a project and Work together live.
