The canvas & your objects
- Editor & Canvas Objects The object types you can place on the canvas, how gestures work, and where each canvas tool is documented.
- Images & layers Add, duplicate, reorder and delete the image and video layers on your canvas from the Layers panel.
- Crop an image Trim a layer non-destructively with aspect-ratio presets — and focus generation on just the part you care about.
- Stacks Overlap images to form a Stack, then mask and merge them to composite elements from several renders into one — much like flattening layers in Photoshop.
- Annotate the canvas Sticky notes, text boxes and People cutouts — quick tools for marking up your board and guiding the AI.
- Frames Empty render targets — blank tiles in a fixed aspect ratio that you generate into or sketch on first.

Generate
- Generate an image Type a prompt, set your model and options on the prompt bar, and press Generate to render a new image as a layer on the canvas.
- Smart Suggest Press Render with an empty prompt and INTERSTITIAL analyzes your image, annotations, and references to write the prompt for you.
- Generation & Models Every image and video model, what it's good at, and how generation works.
- Design Mode The guided AI prompt builder that reads your selected image, annotations, and references to help you craft a strong render prompt — via a step-by-step wizard or a conversational chat.
- Reference images & Are.na Steer a render's style, materials, and elements with reference images — from your own uploads, a canvas image, the built-in Are.na browser, or a curated set in your Asset Library.
- Edit with annotations Draw your intent directly on an image with notes, text, arrows, and People cutouts, then Generate — the AI reads the annotations and applies them as edits.
- Mask & inpaint Paint one region of a render and regenerate only that area with Regional Edit, using the brush, lasso, rectangle, and click-to-select mask tools.
- Extend an image Grow an image beyond its original borders and let the AI paint the new area — outward-only outpainting, launched from the same button as Crop.
- Turn images into video Use the Video Compositor widget to turn a still image (or a chain of frames) into short AI video clips with a chosen model and camera move.
- Generate a 3D world Turn an image, a set of angles, a walkthrough video, or a text prompt into an explorable 3D world you can walk through and export.
- Upscale a render Enlarge and enhance a finished render at higher resolution with the Freepik Magnific upscaler.
Build pipelines

Organize & share
- The Asset Library Accuracy-verified KB page for the INTERSTITIAL Asset Library, covering personal vs Studio libraries, nested folders, tags and filtering, the Explorer view, and opening the library from the canvas. Checked against functions/src/api/library.js, LibraryPanel.jsx, SaveToLibraryDialog.jsx, PanelTabs.jsx, and Editor.jsx; no invented buttons, prices, credits, caps, or roadmap claims. Two minor wording imprecisions (open-from-canvas flow and the destination dialog also choosing Personal/Studio) were corrected.
- Save to & import from the library Task page for the everyday Asset Library actions: saving a canvas image or generation into a library folder via the save-destination picker, adding a library asset back onto the canvas, copying/pasting and moving assets between folders, and trashing then restoring an asset.
- Publish to the gallery Task page for the Share to Gallery flow: submitting a finished render (single or before & after) via the sidebar Share wizard, the team quality-review step, automatic publishing to the public gallery, and the free Nano Banana Pro generations granted on approval (higher rating earns more, kept beside credits). Verified against the Share-to-Gallery code on the Community-Publish branch.
- Share a project Send a project to someone with a link or share it directly with your Studio — copy links that duplicate the project, view links, and edit links that invite someone into your live canvas.
- Share a project Invite studio members to a project as Editor or Viewer, or hand out a View, Edit or Duplicate link to anyone else. Covers the share panel, what each role and link type allows, expiry, and what revoking a link does.
- Work together live Several people in one project at the same time — who can edit, the presence avatars and live cursors, read-only mode, the 5-person room limit, and how undo behaves when you're not alone.
- Studios & teams Create a Studio, invite members, set roles and library access, and manage seats — plus what happens to your credits when you join, and how to leave or delete a Studio.
Plans, credits & billing

- How credits work Task-oriented page on how INTERSTITIAL credits are spent: deducted only after a successful render, varying by model, discounted on Pro/Max, and replaced by free generation cycles with cooldowns on the Blueprint tier. All figures kept qualitative, pointing to the in-app pricing screen as authoritative.
- Billing & invoices How a Studio Owner or Admin manages the subscription, updates the payment method, and finds invoices through the Stripe customer portal. Covers upgrading and downgrading seats and pool, cancelling and reactivating, one-time top-ups, and the current Kleinunternehmer (§19 UStG) VAT position where no VAT is added to invoices.
