How credits work
Task-oriented page on how INTERSTITIAL credits are spent: deducted only after a successful render, varying by model, discounted on Pro/Max, and replaced by free generation cycles with cooldowns on the Blueprint tier. All figures kept qualitative, pointing to the in-app pricing screen as authoritative.
Credits are the currency you spend to generate images, videos, and upscales in INTERSTITIAL. Each successful render deducts a small amount from your balance.
When to use
- You want to understand what a render will cost before you click Generate.
- You’re deciding between models and wondering why one costs more than another.
- You’re on the free Blueprint tier and want to know how its free generations work.
How credits are spent
- Pick a model — the Model Picker sits left of the Generate button. It shows each model’s live credit cost, so you can see what a render will cost before you commit. (On the Blueprint tier it shows a free-generations count instead of a credit cost.)
- Generate — start your image, video, or upscale.
- Pay only on success — credits are deducted after the render completes. If a generation fails, you are not charged.
How it works
- Different models cost different amounts. Higher-quality image models, video models (such as Kling, Seedance, and Veo), and the Magnific upscaler cost more than lighter, faster models. The exact cost depends on the model and its settings.
- Failures are free. The system deducts credits only after a successful AI operation — never up front. A failed or cancelled render leaves your balance untouched.
- Pro & Max plans get a catalog-wide discount. On these tiers you pay less per render than the standard (Base) price, and some models are discounted more steeply than others. The higher the plan, the deeper the discount.
- Blueprint uses cycles, not credits. The free Blueprint tier doesn’t spend credits at all. Instead you get a set of free generations across its allowed models, and once you use them up a cooldown timer counts down before the next batch unlocks. As you cycle through, the free counts shrink and the cooldowns grow.
Tips
- The in-app pricing screen is authoritative. Costs, discounts, and free-generation counts are all shown live in the app — always check there for exact numbers rather than relying on any figure quoted elsewhere.
- Reach for a cheaper model to iterate. Use a lighter model to explore compositions, then switch to a higher-quality one for the final render.
- A failed render is safe to retry — you weren’t charged for it.
