Interstitial AI - Revit Plugin (ISTPlugin2) v1.2.0
=====================================================

Supported: Autodesk Revit 2025 (update 2025.5 or later), Revit 2026 (update
2026.5 or later) and Revit 2027 (Windows 64-bit)

INSTALL
-------

1. Close Revit completely. Revit locks the plugin files while running, so an
upgrade will fail silently if any Revit window is still open.

2. Extract this archive.

3. Press Win+R, paste the following, and press Enter:

       %APPDATA%\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins

If the folder does not exist, create it.

4. Copy the "ISTPlugin2.bundle" folder into it. When you are done the path
   should look like this:

       %APPDATA%\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\ISTPlugin2.bundle\PackageContents.xml

Upgrading? Delete the existing ISTPlugin2.bundle folder first, then copy the
new one in. Copying over the top can leave stale files behind.

5. Start Revit. It asks whether to load the add-in - choose "Always Load".
The plugin is not code-signed, so Revit reports an unverified publisher.
   This is expected.

6. Open the "Interstitial AI" tab in the ribbon.

USING IT
--------

1. Click "Open Web App" and sign in with your Interstitial AI account.
Extraction requires an active login - the plugin uses your session to
   authenticate the upload.

2. Open a 3D view.

3. Click "Extract 3D View" to send a picture of the view, or "Extract 3D
Model" to send the building it shows as a 3D model, which you then place
on its site in the web app. Progress is reported in the web app panel.

"Settings" controls the export display style, segmentation options, and
logging.

UNINSTALL
---------

Close Revit and delete:

    %APPDATA%\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\ISTPlugin2.bundle

VERIFYING THE DOWNLOAD (optional)
---------------------------------

Compare against the checksum published next to the archive:

    Get-FileHash .\ISTPlugin2-1.2.0.zip -Algorithm SHA256

TROUBLESHOOTING
---------------

Revit 2025 or 2026 says the add-in could not be loaded
This plugin needs Revit 2025.5 or 2026.5 or later: from those updates on,
Revit runs on Microsoft .NET 10, which the plugin is built for. Install
the latest Revit update (Autodesk Access), then restart Revit.

The "Interstitial AI" tab does not appear
Confirm PackageContents.xml sits directly inside ISTPlugin2.bundle, at the
path shown in step 4 - one extra nested folder is the usual cause.
Also check you did not previously tell Revit "Do Not Load" for this add-in.

The tab still does not appear on a managed / corporate machine
Some IT policies and antivirus products distrust files extracted from a
downloaded archive. Try clearing that mark, then restart Revit:

        Get-ChildItem "$env:APPDATA\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\ISTPlugin2.bundle" -Recurse | Unblock-File

"Web app is still loading"
WebView2 needs a few seconds on first launch. If it never becomes ready,
install the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime:
    https://developer.microsoft.com/microsoft-edge/webview2/

"Please log in to the Interstitial AI web app first"
Open the web app panel and sign in, then retry the extraction.

Collecting logs for support
Open Settings, set Log Level to "Verbose", reproduce the problem, then use
"Open Log Folder". Logs are written to:

        Documents\ISTPlugin2_Logs\

Send the newest log_*.txt file to support@interstitial-ai.com.
Note: verbose logs record view names and upload responses. Review the file
before sharing if your project is confidential.
